I've Made Up My Mind To Give Myself To You

I'm sittin' on my terrace, lost in the stars
Listening to the sounds of the sad guitars
Been thinking it all over and I've thought it all through
I've made up my mind to give myself to you

I saw the first fall of snow
I saw the flowers come and go
I don't think that anyone ever else ever knew
I've made up my mind to give myself to you

I'm giving myself to you, I am
From Salt Lake City to Birmingham
From East L.A. to San Antone
I don't think I can bear to live my life alone

My eye is like a shooting star
It looks at nothin' here or there, looks at nothin' near or far
No one ever told me, it's just something I knew
I've made up my mind to give myself to you

If I had the wings of a snow white dove
I'd preach the gospel, the gospel of love
A love so real, a love so true
I've made up my mind to give myself to you

Take me out traveling, you're a traveling man
Show me something I don't understand
I'm not what I was, things aren't what they were
I'll go far away from home with her

I traveled a long road of despair
I met no other traveler there
Lot of people gone, lot of people I knew
I've made up my mind to give myself to you

Well, my heart's like a river, a river that sings
Just takes me a while to realize things
I've seen the sunrise, I've seen the dawn
I'll lay down beside you when everyone's gone

I've traveled from the mountains to the sea
I hope that the gods go easy with me
I knew you'd say yes, I'm saying it too
I've made up my mind to give myself to you

Brazil

Here we are face to face again
And in some far off place again
Travelers we, we go Erin Bragh
As you know, that's nowhere in Brazil

Where hearts were entertaining June
We stood beneath an amber moon
And softly murmured 'someday soon'
We kissed and clung together

Then tomorrow was another day
The morning found me miles away
With still a million things to say

Now when twilight dims the sky above
Recalling thrills of our love
There's one thing I'm certain of
Return I will, to old Brazil

That was then, oh, but this is now
Welcome me with your kisses now
Brazil, where the Amazon flows
Where exchanging hellos
And it's fancy meeting you here
Here where songs are passionate
And a smile has flash in it
And a kiss has art in it
For you put your heart in it

And you and I just fit, Brazil
Rio de, on the coast of it
Where hearts are entertaining June
Well, of course, make the most of it
We stand beneath an amber moon
Don't let them move that stage away
Where softly Bing begins to croon
Rosie, you give your age away
We kiss and cling together (oh)

Here we are at the height of it
Tomorrow is another day
Let's tonight make a night of it
And on my finest miles away
We'll be out at the sight of it
With still a million things to say
Like good-bye, farewell to Lou, but now
Want to see what is next to see
When twilight dims the sky above
I will stroll along with ecstasy
Want to see what is next to see
Recalling thrills of our love
Yesiree, it was ecstasy
There's one thing I'm certain of
Return I will, to old Brazil
From Brazil, home of Rio de....
Ship me home, ship me COD
And that dough that we threw around
well I'll be seeing you around
From Brazil, home of Rio de..
Ship me home

New Normal

I woke up not enough awake today, just to take in the smell of the fake red poinsettias,
Well, I'm well aware I'm treating life as a way to pass the time
It is never an effort to grin, to laugh, but it is laborious to live it like my last
See through me, see through me so see through, see me through
It's not the grave dates on the tomb, it's the short and sweet dash between the two,
But I swear sometimes, it's like I'm running on stumps
and I am still nowhere, so out of sorts. Always so short and sweet
I've swallowed too much concrete, my worst intentions got the best of me
I've been so hate savvy and I've lost my tongue to the biting
I shake from the rain in my knees, It never has the nerve not to pour.
Indian summer sunburns leave me lacking what I've learned, but I never forgot myself.
We've lost the brass that we were born with, we were bent to fit,
Bent to wear these wooden baskets. More to a whisper than a yell,
But we scream just to get the chills,
Just to hear the timber echo back in the boxes we've been planted in.

The Town I Loved So Well

In my memory I will always see
the town that I have loved so well
Where our school played ball by the gasyard wall
and we laughed through the smoke and the smell
Going home in the rain, running up the dark lane
past the jail and down behind the fountain
Those were happy days in so many, many ways
in the town I loved so well

In the early morning the shirt factory horn
called women from Creggan, the Moor and the Bog
While the men on the dole played a mother's role,
fed the children and then trained the dogs
And when times got tough there was just about enough
But they saw it through without complaining
For deep inside was a burning pride
in the town I loved so well

There was music there in the Derry air
like a language that we all could understand
I remember the day when I earned my first pay
And I played in a small pick-up band
There I spent my youth and to tell you the truth
I was sad to leave it all behind me
For I learned about life and I'd found a wife
in the town I loved so well

But when I returned how my eyes have burned
to see how a town could be brought to its knees
By the armoured cars and the bombed out bars
and the gas that hangs on to every tree
Now the army's installed by that old gasyard wall
and the damned barbed wire gets higher and higher
With their tanks and their guns, oh my God, what have they done
to the town I loved so well

Now the music's gone but they carry on
For their spirit's been bruised, never broken
They will not forget but their hearts are set
on tomorrow and peace once again
For what's done is done and what's won is won
and what's lost is lost and gone forever
I can only pray for a bright, brand new day
in the town I loved so well

Don't Bother Me

(Don't bother me, bother me)
(Don't bother me, bother me)

Your hidden agenda
(Don't bother me, bother me)
You ruthless rule bender
(Don't bother me, bother me)
Your surface duplicity
(Don't bother me, bother me)
It's all nothing new to me
{Don't bother me, bother me}
The way you look in the mirror
(Don't bother me, bother me)
You're your biggest admirer
(Don't bother me, bother me)
All your clicking and swiping
(Don't bother me, bother me)
All your groping and griping
(Don't bother me, bother me)

The lack of your empathy
(Don't bother me, bother me)
Your 'Who me?' fake apologies
(Don't bother me, bother me)
Your political science
(Don't bother me, bother me)
Your stupid island alliance
{Don't bother me, bother me}
Your squatting at my place
(Don't bother me, bother me)
Your grinning in my face
(Don't bother me, bother me)
You fake punk jacket liar
(Don't bother me, bother me)
Easy target, easy tiger
(Don't bother me, bother me)

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!

Oh!

Your both sides of the old fence
(Don't bother me)
Your malicious compliance
(Don't bother me)
The surplus of your apathy

It don't bother me
